I was attempting to fall asleep, but it seemed impossible. There was nothing else to do then to stare at the ceiling. I felt that something hit me in the forehead, but i did not pay much attention to it. Then a few seconds later it happened again. I got up and was looking for my flashlight. Then out of no where i heard a voice that said ” Hello”. I asked him who he was and where he was. He said, “I am right here, down here”. I looked every where, but i could not find him anywhere. I asked him what his name was again, but he said that that did not matter. Then he said that he wanted to take me on an adventure. I was very excited. Then he asked me to close me eyes. The sounds of the waves were as loud as thunder. The sun was disappearing and the sky was getting darker little by little. There was a breeze that was fresh and felt great. The weather was very warm. I was the only one on the beach. While sitting on the sand the water rushed over my legs. I started to stare into the ocean, where the sun was setting down. I began to remember when I was a child and about all those times I spent with my dad. Suddenly I was just so concentrated in that. It was as if I was walking through my childhood once again. The wind got a little stronger and it felt as if it were wrapped around me. I felt like it was pulling me up, as if it wanted me to stand up. It came to the point when the wind was stronger than me. So then I decided to stand up and leave. I just wanted to catch one last glimpse of the beach, so I decided to walk along the water. While walking, I was looking down at the sand. When I looked up I saw a person in the distance. From far away, I could not recognize who it was. I began to walk closer and closer. The person just kept staring at me. As I kept walking my heart began to beat very fast. For some unexplainable reason I became so happy. As I started getting closer I noticed it was my dad. My eyes became watery, but that did not stop me from running to him. I began to notice something very strange. He was getting farther and farther away from me as I kept walking closer to him. He did not even seem to move. Now I started running faster because I wanted to catch up to him. I wanted to hug him and tell him how much I have missed him for three years. He just began to disappear little by little. Then I just stopped and he waved at me. Then I noticed that a tear drop ran down my face. It fell in the ocean becoming just another drop of water. Next thing I noticed, the colors of the beach were fading away. I could not move. Little by little everything faded until it turned completely white. Then I heard a voice that said, ” open your eyes now”. I got so scared that I just stood up. Finally, I was calm and was looking for the voice, but it was gone. I learned that even though you may have lost contact with someone that is or was very important to you, they will always remember you and they will always be in your heart.
